Our Policies and Warranties

REPAIRS

Tools sent for repair should include appropriate paperwork with complete name, address, telephone, and fax numbers along with a brief description of the problem or defect. Requests for warranty service coverage are subject to manufacturers’ warranty policies. To speed warranty service, always include a copy of the original sales receipt. All out of warranty tools are subject to a handling charge to cover return shipping costs.

WARRANTY

Straight repairs by Manchester Tool Repair carry a 30 day warranty on parts and labor. Any repaired tool returned during this period with a problem unrelated to the previous repair will be charged only for parts used. This warranty does not cover damage caused by customer abuse, neglect, alteration, or tampering. Repairs performed by Manchester Tool repair in no way extend or alter any existing manufacturer’s warranty.

ESTIMATES

Estimates for straight (out of warranty) repairs are provided upon request. To speed repairs and eliminate unnecessary estimates, we encourage customers to set a reasonable limit on each tool. Tools would then be estimated if actual charges exceed the repair limit. Repairs exceeding 40% of the new list price or repair charges which we feel are high are automatically estimated. There will be an estimate charge on all estimates not approved. A fax line is provided for estimate disposition instructions.

PAYMENT AND CREDIT

Manchester Tool Repair will open accounts for customers who can supply sufficient good credit history. Credit applications are available upon request. We ship COD to customers who do not have an established account. To avoid COD charges, customers can prepay approved estimates and parts orders. Manchester Tool Repair also accepts all major credit cards.
